I'm giving this movie three stars because I couldn't decide whether to give it five stars or one star...I honestly didn't know what to make of this movie, and I have a deep love for absurdist and existential films. It's gorgeously shot, superbly acted, and wonderfully paced, and yet it is a complete and total mess. Picture an episode of Quantum Leap where every character jumps every 10 to 15 seconds, and you will pretty much understand what is happening here. It's impossible to like or dislike any of the characters because they radically change so rapidly that there's no continuity. The movie doesn't take itself too seriously (watch out for the giant bagel and the raccoon chef), but it's also too serious to be a comedy. It's almost like the filmmaker set out to make a confusing film about confusion. I didn't hate it, but I never need to watch it again.
