This is an incredible tale with stunning locations, however about halfway through as the group leaves Russia the movie seems to plateau on the desert scenes then rush to an end. It is difficult to capture such a long memoir into a film and you can tell the film aimed to touch on every major location the escapees trekked but with little attention to the Himalayas. Unfortunately, overall I thought it could have been executed so much better.
