Movie seems off when it comes to dialogue (it’s very unnatural and just feels wrong.) Often scenes feel more like a medium for either the director or scriptwriter to insert their own beliefs into dialogue rather than pursuing good storytelling. Didn’t finish the movie, don’t care to, do with that information what you will.
