I was gifted this book as I like horror and mystery, but I struggled to read it and enjoy it. For me, the plot was all over the place. The second part should have been the first as it lays the backstory. The monsters of the story, just appeared instead of being developed. I really struggled trying to get through the novel. Once I got midway, the story picked up for me but the ending…well, kinda boring.
