A real life, true horror survival movie about perseverance, love, and faith without even trying to be. This movie was filmed to perfection in my opinion. The director did an amazing job at making this movie as immersive and harrowing as it is, they literally went to the crash site to film!! “Alive!” was by no means a bad or inaccurate adaptation of the event, however society of the snow was just better. They did not hold back on any of the grisly details and stay mostly true to the book. What a phenomenal movie!!

Easily one of my favorite movies of all time…this was such an original movie that perfectly captured Elvis for who he was as a person and entertainer. Not only was the acting great but the editing for this movie was phenomenal. The story they presented of Elvis was as accurate as can be for a film. Soundtrack was great, a few remixes to his songs that sounded amazing. I was skeptical at first since I’m a huge Elvis fan and was worried they’d do him dirty but Austin Butler really could not have done a better job. Of course, Tom Hanks did not disappoint either. His depiction of the Colonel and his perspective really added a great touch to the film as well. A beautiful tribute to the king.

The movie was overall mediocre and at some parts even laughable but I’m giving it 2 stars for the gore. The original Texas Chainsaw has to be my absolute favorite movie of all time, but I’ve never strongly disliked any of the remakes as much as this one. The mask leatherface has in the movie looks like a pretty badly made rubber pig mask. The movie had an intriguing plot to begin with but fell so flat. With the previous Texas chainsaw movies there was at least one decent character, but with this one they killed the ONLY half-decent person very quickly. These characters were so terribly written which made the movie feel a lot more rushed. One of the most disappointing aspects of the movie is the lack of character added to leatherface. Especially like in the 1974 version, we get to see 3 different leather faces and their “happy” little family in the span of about 90 minutes. This one had so much opportunity for more development and all we see is an orphan turned mass murderer for no reason really. I’d really only recommend this movie to someone who enjoys gore-fest type films, but for a decent movie with a genuinely decent plot this one misses big time.
