Vellam - the essential drink is a real life story that came into life through Actor Jayasurya's impeccable acting skills. The quote "Insult is the best Investment" is truly inspiring. The story depicts the life of an alcoholic who cannot escape from the grip of alcohol. The protagonist as well as his family goes through insult and many bitter experiences all because of his drinking. In a nutshell, the story is about a man who rises like a Phoenix bird with motivation from a well wisher and sheer will power. A must watch movie which shows that anyone can be successful at any stage of their life if they are dedicated to win.

A beautiful movie with a feel good plot. It covers the topics such as political violence versus humanity along with the failure of school curriculum in finding out the gem in the backbench with wings of fire. The movie puts forth another sport for the young minds to be passionate about. The actors have done their part which needs an ovation.
