i think my biggest problem with the show is it’s premise. it has a more “mature” topic of the manipulation and extortion. but at the same time the whole mood of the show is very childish. I didn’t know if I was watching a disney show or an adult show. the characters are all too caricaturesque, overdone and so one sided. no depth, yet they manage to all be annoying in their own way. I have a very high cringe tolerance, but this one i just could not handle. The story is so dull as well. Yea she is lying to people that are helping her which is sad, but I can’t empathize with anyone because they all suck (tbh i empathize a little bit with Sean Astin’s character because it’s Sean Astin and he’s a bby). But yea. Couldn’t get through it. So extremely forced.
