Ranbir's performance was on fire!! Although a few things in the second half seemed inappropriate, but lets stick to the fact that its just a movie. We should judge a movie for how well the characters fit into their roles, how engaging the movie is, how the movie emotionally connects to the hearts of the viewers. Ranbir, playing the character of Ranvijay Singh, has done an incredible job. This is undoubtedly his best performance so far. I believe he somehow gets really well into these obsessive characters and pulls them out fantastically. I have not watched something like this in bollywood for a very long time. Sandeep Reddy has proved to showcase something like this in such an ulfiltered way. The bond around which the story revolves, holds the whole movie together. And explains why Ranbeer does whatever he does. The name of the movie itself is self explanatory and compliments his personality so well. No one could have done it better than Ranbir. The emotional, romantic, pyscho, possessive kind of character goes entirely with his personality. He deserves an Oscar for the performance.!!! He has proved he is the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) when it comes to his acting career.
