If you watched the preview, it was predictable like most animal stalking films. The film fell short that it was too identical to PREY, including the sassy mouthed tween, in which neither of these young ladies were great actors. Idris Elba is an excellent actor and played the role flawlessly. The storyline and actions for the daughters were poor and unnecessary. Yes, as a black woman i am biased because there are certain things we don't do. Lol. Jumping out the car to save our uncle, sitting next to the only open window in the car, stabbing the Lion with a dart to tranqualize him, blowing the car horn in the dark jungle or the constant bickering between them. Zero critical thinking skills made this hard to watch without yelling at the TV. I agree that it was too many things going on that. Much like the original jurassic park, keep it simple about the lion, Leave the family drama out of it and enough with the "good animals saves the day" plot. Focus on getting out alive so we can enjoy it with you.
