I have only clicked on a star because I would not be able to comment if I didnt. I did not get to watch the opening ceremony due to technical issues. I was very disappointed. Now, having read what all was depicted, I am very pleased that I did not watch. I am a reborn Christian and the idea that anyone who would mock Jesus in such a hideous way makes me cry. There was some comment that I read, where the person explained that different deities were being depicted in other ways, then went on to say that the Last Supper Scene with our Lord was a parody of Leonardo Da Vinci's painting, not the Last Supper itself. Nice try, but no matter which way you spin it, it was offensive and inappropriate. If they wanted to mock Da Vinci, there are many other paintings that could have been targeted. Pagan gods such as Bacchus, Dionysus, Sequana, the golden calf from the bible were paraded, and then someone wants to tell us that the Last Supper scene is about Da Vinci and NOT Jesus? All i can say is that I will pray for all the organisers and participants, My Lord Jesus would say "forgive them, they dont know what they are doing". Lastly, if anyone had dared to make fun of Islam in any way, there would have been death and mayhem. Very sad for France.
