Miss Hoodie

The majority of the poor reviews all seem to be from people who love the original too much to appreciate a modern adaptation. I’ve never seen the original movie and have had the benefit of seeing and appreciating this series as its own work. At the end of the day it’s a family friendly adventure show. I’ve watched 6 of the 8 episodes released and have found 5 of them engaging, funny, & immersive. Some reviews claim that the show lacks quality comedy but what can you do? Comedy is 100% subjective. But if you go into this show expecting it to live up to impossible standards set by your childhood love of the original movie, the consensus seems to be that you’ll be underwhelmed, disappointed, and as the poor reviews indicate- bitter.
