Richard and Judy, what’s going on? Are you losing it? When I’m at the airport, I only pick up books that have been recommended by R&J. What happened here? As an animal lover, the blurb and the dedication at the beginning of the book drew me in. This book however did little to keep my attention. Both the storyline and the characters are uninteresting and dull. I wanted to give up halfway through but persisted to the end. Yes this is fiction but unless I’m reading Harry Potter, I’d like to believe what I’m reading could be true. In a lot of the situations, I found myself thinking ‘that would not happen’. Maybe it was just me not getting the ‘humour’, I don’t know but it didn’t work for me. And how and why did she end up at London Bridge in the first place? Did I miss something or was it that I simply didn’t care? And what was with the marmite quote!!!? I would normally keep my books or pass them on. This one I left by the pool.
