Melissa McCarthy and Chris O’Doud are wonderful actors. The movie is a sad dud. Its flaws are many, but the one that struck me the most was the assumption that a grade school art teacher whose wife works in a retail ‘Walmart type’ store could simply check himself into a private room at a mental health facility and stay as long as he likes. What planet are these film creators living on? Welcome to the real world USA where quality mental health care is pretty hard to access, if available at all.
