No spoilers...because it is best with no preconceived notions.
I know it was billed as a comedy but be warned, it's a lot heavier than you expect. You will find yourself contemplating much when you are finished.
That being said, it *is* Irish in every way that matters. The familial relationships are complex. The concept of friendships, especially with limited options in a small town, isolated areas or groups, is applicable to anyone who has ever felt alone even when surrounded by others.
It takes a new look at old folklore as well...
Highly recommend if you want a beautiful movie with rich scenery and complex characters.
