Md. Tabish Nawaz

It is one of the early novels of Premchand. The first half was much better than the second half. Overall the story is good but could have been much much better. Though I was expecting a different ending. However what upset me more was the characterisation of Pratap and Virjan. In latter half of the novel, we don't see any thought process of Pratap after becoming what he became. The introduction of Madhvi as a character was in second half which totally amused me ! Considering the 'Upanyas Samrat' this novel is below par. I would love to read all of his works.
