Open-mindedness, well-designed scientific studies, and keeping a common-sensical approach about how humans lived for a majority of humanity are the only ways we are going to learn what it means to be truly healthy.
Paul is doing something very unique here. He is suggesting a topic that is seemingly laughable and very taboo to the public where an animal-based diet is the key to optimal health for humans. Yet, he presents nearly an open and shut case within these pages that animals have been (and should be) a part of humans’ diets to maintain optimal health.
He not only presents his data with a very non-dogmatic approach, but he references strong scientific articles and helps us to remember that animals have been a part of the human diet since the dawn of time. Only more recently with political propaganda, Big Food, ultraprocessed food-like products, and many other unhealthy lifestyle factors do we see sky-rocketing rates of chronic illness. Yet, red meat and saturated fat are wrongfully given the blame.
Ask yourself this question, “why would something that has been a staple in the human diet for nearly 2.6 million years all of a sudden be the cause of so much illness in our species?” If you approach this question with an open-mind, setting aside your cognitive biases, and truly want to learn the truth, I highly recommend you read The Carnivore Code.
Your health and the health of your family for generations to come will thank you.
