I really enjoy this film. We have it on DVD and I watch it every few months. It's very atmospheric, well acted and parts of it are very exciting. Always a winner.

I didn't enjoy this film as it was just too far from reality. I don't recommend it. I've seen a lot of real war film, and in this real film the pilots are constantly maneuvering to avoid enemy fire, and they're constantly looking around them. Not like in this film. One of the most unreal bits was of the B17 flying straight & level with half a wing missing. In real life the B17 would be uncontrollably plunging towards the ground. Not a good tribute to the recon pilots.

Really enjoyed this book. So candidly written you can imagine yourself aboard the submarine. A great blending of factual information and emotion.
