Great show - very thought provoking and entertaining- long complex story line of epic intensity - could easily have lost the plot timing and empathy with characters given the amount of story to tell. They do it with great skill. Well paced sympathetic characters rhat grow as they tell the story across space and time . It is a very busy story line so no time to dawdle but enough to allow the characters to develop. Unlike many weighty sci fi this does not sag or slow mid season so by the end still eagerly awaiting season 2 &3 ? I guess given the length of the fantastic Chinese original books. Congratulations on a strong start keep it up and you will have a masterpiece .
