Zuhri Wayman

An unfaithful adaptation of a great book. Only Jason Bateman and the little bit of Kathryn Hahn are charming to me. I find myself disliking Annie, Camille and Caleb, who I either loved or loved to hat in the book. Besides that, there is so much that is cut or changed from the source material. "The Family Fang" would have made an incredible limited series. There is so much nuance that was missed in this movie, I couldn't even find myself rooting for out protagonists. Not even Christopher Walken could save this movie. Bland writing, bland delivery/acting and left a lot to be desired. It makes me sad. It seems like the plot was cut down just to save time, ad that really sucks, along with necessary changes that hindered instead of helping the story.
