I would give 4 stars to season 1 except for the last episode. The first season of Sanditon had me seated and captivated for one entire day until I got to the last disappointed ending episode! If you have read or watch other Jane Austin's work, you will agree with me that this is NOT HER. This is shameful and very disrespectful to Jane's work. I honestly believe that they should have kept the show to one season and end it Jane's way. Don't even get me started on season 2. I only watched the first 2 episodes and only got me to more disillusion, the boy wanna-be little girl, the soldier, the single parent, really confusing to who Charlotte will fall for. It clearly introduces the gender ideology which again has nothing to do with Jane Austin's work (and my respects to those who support this issue) I spent the first two episodes skipping scenes because they are boring. I really hope one day someone decides to write a script that is more faithful to Jane Austin :-(
