A 3/5 is the most generous review I can come up with after rewatching. This show is honestly quite bad and does not capture Tolkien well at all. But oh well, modern Hollywood Edit. Season 2 is quite cringe and even more poorly written. Have changed my score to a 2/5.

Good ol’e 90s style entertainment. The movie plot is more engaging than I thought, well acted, and 0 woke nonsense. Great job Hollywood, keep it up

Surprisingly not bad a show, in general it's well written, paced, and acted. However, the extremely nonsensical casting decisions are just baffling and made the world impossible to take seriously - very different from the book

I’ll give it a 4/5 in the spirit of Christmas and being generous, but this movie, while not terrible, definitely wasn’t great either. George Clooney’s directorial skills are highly questionable, poor script, and pacing felt disjointed. Loved the message and the acting was decent, but this movie had so much potential it didn’t deliver on.

Mind blowing. The fact that they created this masterpiece on a $15 million budget is incredible. Go watch and thank me later
