The book was a 3, and the movie is a 2. We start out the gate with changing the ENTIRE narrative of Coriolanus. He never wanted to be a politician. He didnโt want to follow in his fatherโs footsteps. Thatโs the whole point. Heโs an unwilling participant who gets corrupted by a system to maintain power and control so itโs not used against him. Peacekeepers are not permitted to fraternize with people in the districts. Thatโs why he and Lucy are sneaking around all the time. Lucy herself feltโฆ kind of flat. They made her more โpalatableโ and less like a woman who only seeks her freedom no matter what it costs anyone else (except her family). The book is dense and is slow, but somehow they made it even more boring??? This is one of those that should have just stayed a book. No money grab.
