Ade it about 30 mins. The opening drive scene great. The try hard love of music while waiting for the robbery, bad. The 10 minutes of opening credits/pseudo musical, stunk. After that I thought Ok, director got all the musical stuff out, then bam: more dancing/music ... Maybe I was in the wrong mindset, but I wanted a action heist movie that wasn't peppered with little musical acts. It was like watching a movie with someone who keeps muting the show and saying "you gotta here this song"

Great film adaptation. Really delves into how misguided people can be in raising their kids under the mantra of 'family is everything '. It nearly destroyed his chances at building a life of his own by chaining himself to the problems of his family. Taking the path he did didn't mean he loved them less, but rather it meant he knew the family's legacy has no hope unless he diverged from the path. Great acting on all accounts, and the storytelling was well paced and fluid. Well worth the watch.

The story is completely unoriginal. Steals tropes from Magnificent 7, Star Wars, any western, and Warhammer. Dialog is pedantic and predictable with little imagination to character development. Then you have the usual Snyder-ism cinematography: over use of slow motion, music crescendos marking every momentum shift, and the overly dramatic stoic poses by characters make this movie nostalgic as you've seen it watching a list of movies before it.

Well written and engaging. Greater is an inspiring film that shows how much an impact we can make in each other's lives if we simply try. Don't let all the "OMG it's a religious movie" deter you from taking in a wholesome, emotional, and heartwarming film about the tragic loss of a good man.
