Started well as an exploration of mysticism and faith but degenerated when it went all Hollywood. Since there's going to be a second season it seems likely to descend into "Lost" territory - leading on the audience but never resolving anything. I wouldn't mind a lack of resolution if it continued as it had started - but can't be bothered to finish the first season now.
