One star doesn't do George Clooney justice, but DAMN- that was a monumental waste of time to watch! If you are going to make a movie where humanity goes extinct at least make it emotionally and intellectually compelling enough to make up for that. There is no hope in the couple going back to the other planet as they will have kids that inbreed until they die off miserably. I can't believe the waste of money on this film. WOW. The lack of effort in forming a believable story was insulting.

This is on my roster of cult classics that I watch every year! I didn't know people generally disliked this movie until I watched Bruce Willis's Roast. I always thought that part of what makes this movie so fun/great was that it was such an obvious absurd comedy. I'm so confused by all the naysayers- this film was intended to be totally stupid. The cast in this film is awesome! So many memorable characters, jokes, and sequences!
