My whole family, including my two teenagers, gave this a big "two thumbs down" with a side of "we can't unsee that". The "defensive measures" deployed by the child in this movie are more deathtraps than deterrents, making the movie inappropriate for younger viewers (Disney+, how are you even involved in this?). We literally stopped the movie midway and debated abandoning ship, but sadly decided to forge ahead. I feel bad for Ellie Kemper, who worked hard to carry this movie with her performance, but alas it was not enough. Should have just rewatched the original. The ending didn't completely suck, but the ride getting there was not worth it.
