Not that bad that I wouldn’t watch another episode but not good enough to recommend to a friend after two episodes. Episode 3 - CGI is not great, Bourne suspense music in background. Feels like creators are trying real hard to give that Bourne vibe but they miss the mark. It’s a 2/5 stars for me… this is not a great show.

Reasonably entertaining with a good preamble… but the plot kind of flakes out towards the end with no real oomph. Good action, decent cast. Chris Pine did a good job and if you want violent action then this will do the trick. Unfortunately, I was left thinking with 6 minutes to go that the thing wasn’t going to finish strong… my expectations were met. This one with ends with a “is that it?” vibe.

Remember watching all the Star Wars movies back in the 80’s and really wanted Disney to knock this one out of the park… but alas, a major fail instead. Second rate, wooden acting from child Leia with laughable scenes where adults are unable to chase down a young child who slips through everyone’s grasp unconvincingly… just poor. There are good background developing scenes in episode one which gave me nostalgic vibes and piqued my interest but after 20 minutes I started having doubts. Episode 2 was a flop with only Ewen’s acting carrying scenes. The Grand Inquisitors death seemed rushed with no real impact on the story line… it just seemed meaningless. Acting issues were rife as were some of the nonsensical and contrived scenes largely including young Leia. I hate to say it but the acting in this department was poor and let the series down. I genuinely hope everything improves but can’t see it happening. How did they get to the point where they were happy to release this as it is… it’s just not good let alone great. The Mandalorian and Boba Fett were way better.
