This review is after 8 episodes... I've really tried to give it a chance.
As an avid Halo Fan since 2001, I've played every game in the universe sans Halo Wars 2 and read a sum of about 7 of the books detailing the events leading to the covenant/human conflict, the events of reach, the first halo, and the time between games. It's really hard for me to watch this TV series and think it is the Halo that I know. There are too many events in the series that are recreated without adherence to the logical thought process and timeline that has been developed over the past 20 years. This show uses concepts and features from Halo, but it is not Halo. It's hard to watch.
I am giving this two stars because the graphics are awesome, and the attempt to tell Halsey conflict is true to what I've read... to an extent. But I dont know where they intend to take her storyline past this season. But the rest is just a gimmick, or a green screen with "Halo" as a costume, but not actually the true story being told.
