Don’t know if the people who rated this film 5 star with their ravings reviews had watched the same movie I did. They either were paid off, apart of the production company or watched a completely different film and some how managed to write a review for a good horror film here. What a load of horse shit. Waste of time and waste of production money too. I haven’t read the books and this film certainly didn’t entice me to do so either. Yes I watched the whole movie and yes I’m here complaining about it. This movie was not good at all. One good thing I can say about it is it had a good opening sequence. That’s it. I know it’s a bit of fun and a film that isn’t going for academy awards (most definitely won’t be nominated for any so no need to worry about that). Film literally made no sense whatsoever. Basically scenes of blood and off-putting dialogue. If you’re looking to waste your time and be confused for the duration of the film then this is the film for you :) best way to describe this film would be like watching a train wreck. Simply went from bad to worse. Still sat here wondering and questioning what exactly the “books of blood” is and now looking back at the movie description, it’s vague and superficial and was as useful as a chocolate teapot. I’m a film fanatic and I like what I like. (I thought I’d like this, knowing Britt Robertson and horror, but I was wrong). Each to their own. You might like it. You might not. This film just pissed me off by the incoherent story line, confusing plot and weird ass scenes that supposedly tied together. Lazy ending by putting the characters in one scene to “bring it together and have three stories in one film” towards the end and then a strange closing scene. For real this film made no sense.
