The self-hate, tragic homosexual theme is completely predictable and overdone. I'm tired of it. And I saw a lot of that in this film. It's not that it didn't have redeeming moments but please, can writers and filmmakers have a deeper and wider vision of gay people's lives?

Oh my God one of the best movies I've ever seen! Jennifer Hudson deserves an Oscar hands down. She is terrific! It's like a 2-hour concert of Aretha. A must see!
