It could have been the best Disney live-action movie. I wanted to love it but I couldn't because It's simply a movie that begins great and ends badly.
The original Aladdin movie carries with it already a very attractive story, pretty drawings of the scenes and characters, and beautiful music. The first half of the live-action movie inherits all these elements: great choice of the castings, story and illustrations are beautiful, music is catchy.
But almost all of the great things about the movie vanish in the second half of the movie. The story line did not follow the original version: the movie's name is Aladdin but clearly he is only a supporting character in this Disney-princess-marketing-focus movie. Plus, animation and illustration are lame and of minimum portion. It made me feel that the producer was either run out of time/budget or they was too lazy to bother keeping it great. It simply create a huge disappointment to the Disney's classic Aladdin movie fan and someone who loves the colorful, exciting and eye-catching illustration like me.
