i never write reviews, but im so mad! i started reading the books and finished all of them within a week. i fell in love with all the characters and the story and I'm super disappointed by the movie. the cast definitely seemed capable of pulling off the roles that were described in the book, so im not sure why they changed so much about the characters and plot. Hardin is so much more bad ass, jealous, angry, sarcastic, hard to get, secretive, deep, and has such a dark past IN THE BOOK, but in the MOVIE they dont include the night terrors that he gets, he never gets jealous, they literally skim over his past and family issues, he hardly changes from the beginning to end, hes so soft, and they make it seem like he is chasing after Tessa from the start. also major roles like Zed, Karen, Ken, Landon, and Steph that are essential in the story have hardly any lines. they completely change tessa and hardin’s relationship. they make it seem like it is all good and easy the whole time which it IS NOT in the book. also most scenes didnt make sense if u didnt read the book. overall the movie was very rushed. most of the scenes in the movie never even happened in the book. throughout the movie i found myself thinking "Hardin wouldn't do that..." Besides that, they changed the ending and the whole bet. They took out a lot of the passion and it was clear that they were trying to fit the Pg-13 standards. Overall, I was very disappointed.
