I had high hopes for this. They gave it a good attempt but just couldn't match the bar that has been previously set. Although with this being the first season I do see potential for growth. Much of the episodes just seemed very fast. There wasn't much that really drew the audience in on a level that the original vikings series beautifully mastered. I truly hope the second season is better and I hope they've identified what needs to be worked on in order to make this a great spin off.
