I cannot believe the initial critiques and performance of this film. There again films that require a little more cerebral chewing, reflection and engaged, considered post mortem analysis seem to suffer these initial doses of vexation. It's a real under the radar classic that deals with some very painful themes... That are portrayed despite the military ops dressage, in a precise, raw and seemingly caring way. All the players shine in their roles - many of these have backgrounds in theatres and played parts in Oscar winner and nominated movies. And it shows. This is a film that goes far beyond the military trope, or if a little disrespectfully to utter this... America coming to aid of the world pantomime... This film provokes as it does portray a well crafted story ( loosely based on a similar Canadian spec ops mission in Columbia apparently) . I watch this over and over again and get something new. Brilliant
