From a lesbian perspective, this was a sad and disappointing movie. The protagonist was an enigma pretty much, and hard to relate to, her feelings and motivation were murky at best. The potential love interest was sad and repressed, and their relationship was poorly represented to the point that it was hard to belive in. I ended up rooting for the poor husband, just because the whole thing seemed so arbitrary, and he was the only one that seemed to have complex emotions! The ending was a complete dud and disappointment. This was no love story! It was like some old lesbian pulp fiction. I'm surprised one of them didn't get hit by a truck or something. Total bummer.
