Finally watched Thalaivi movie in theatre. Watching movie in hall after 2yrs. 🤭 I would rate 4/5 and 9/10 MGR death scene is so good projected.Last half will give good goosebumps. First half is full of Jayalalitha dance moves/ film act that were exactly recreated and romantic angle were shown.second half is where politics starts and MGR death. Lots of dialogue from Mahabharat. Since it was 2hrs movie,they tried to rush so many good scenes which felt incomplete to me. I feel Tamil audiences will understand this movie better than north audiences as the political factor is between Karunanidhi and MGR and background of Jaya. Acting wise everyone gave justice to there role. The director has selected each and every character exactly matching like MGR, Karunanidhi, Jayalalitha, Indra Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi etc. He has successfully created the 70's era of Tamil cinema and a Very beautiful depiction of some of the most important events in Amma's life.hail to Kangana and all the ppl worked to complete this movie Go for it!!!!!!!

A common complaint that I hear from my many of my friends who watch Hollywood thrillers is that we in India aren't capable of matching that level. We add unnecessary songs, love angles, absurd reasoning behind people being evil but far more importantly give away the suspense pretty early in our films. Andhadhun last year broke this myth, and now Judgemental Hai Kya carries forward this wave. Without giving much away the movie is a proper whodunnit murder mystery, punctuated by some seriously good comedy and fabulous punch lines. There are little sub stories within the main plot which add on to the suspense and till the last 10-15 minutes I was flipping every second on whom I thought was actually the antagonist over here. Kangana Ranaut (or to be precise her sister) has made it a habit to come out with absurd statements and accusations every week, but if Kangana can deliver this on screen then I for one am happy to ignore her sister! She owns every frame of the movie and literally plays multiple characters at the same time (trying my best to avoid spoilers). Rajkummar Rao for the rarest of times is overshadowed in 90% of the movie but he takes over the film during the climax ! The range of expressions that this guy has is sometimes beyond belief. Overall the movie is a seriously engrossing affair, could have perhaps been 10 minutes shorter but then can't complain much given the total length is barely 2 hours. Overall Recommendation: 4/5 (If you're planning to go for this please go before you are bombarded with spoilers !!! )
