Do not go into this movie thinking it will parallel "The Nutcracker Ballet" because it won't and you will be greatly disappointed. Think "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" meets "Hugo" instead and you'll do better. Characters, costumes, and scenery we're gorgeous. The plot was okay, a bit predictable. The comedic elements *were* funny. I would advise not taking children younger than 7. Overall I would give it a B+.
