Scene changes were clumsy. The acting wad poor and the dialog, unconvincing. The ladies sitting on the porch were cliche.

I felt this movie helped me to understand to some of the struggles of servicemen and women in a way I've never seen. I enjoyed the simple humanity and connection between the characters. I was also.pleasantly surprised at being able to travel that part of the country and that amazing tornado scene.

I was captivated by the twists and turns..The photography techniques..drawing out the closing scenes and the amplification of little sounds was fascinating. The music was refreshing and haunting. Actually has to turn it down often as it engaged my emotions more than I wanted to experience. I loved how different this movie was!!! I cared about the characters. I wished it didn't have to end!

I have always enjoyed Susan Sarandan for her free-spirit roles. This movie seems less...gimmicky. I loved her as this woman who seemed more authentic. The facial textures if her pain was beautifully done. Better with time!
