I was barely out of high school when this movie came out (1974). Heard the makeup was phenomenal for Cecily Tyson's stages in life. When I was finally able to see it now (2023) the reviews were spot on. Not only was the storyline fascinating, her aging process, her elderly appearance left me amazed. I made it a point of reading the credits. It was no surprise to me, makeup was done by Martin Westmore, of the famous Westmore clan. With a history in films of over 100 years, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and extensive filmography, the film makes watching the characters' ageing an added bonus. I'm glad I finally got to see Miss Jane's experience often in difficult times. See it yourself!
