Bleak Deadly

This movie had so much potential but is a big disappointment. Set in the 60s it brings no nostalgia because it's based on American pop culture not British- Indian culture Positive - Cinematography was fairly decent Negative - weak story (mindlessly boring), terrible acting by Suhana, poor acting by Khushi, passable by the rest, bad pace, weak direction and storytelling

A wannabe movie with ham acting by the main leads and mournful music trying to give it the gravitas it desperately lacks

Honestly this film was hyped. Cinematography is not bad but the dialogues and direction are a huge turn off. The diction is very very contemporary which almost feels like one is watching a school play set up by high schoolers (albeit talented ones). The film attempts to strike an emotion chord by capitalising on the really tragic Jallianwala bagh. But that's a very low hanging fruit. Nothing nuanced about the movie.
