Remarkably Bright Creatures is not the kind of book I normally read. I’m a mystery, drama and sometimes fantasy admirer. I read the first 10 pages at the beach and put it down to read a Ruth Ware book. When I finished it I decided to try the RBC book again. I’m so glad I did! It’s a wonderful story - beautifully written and with several story lines running through it! You will fall completely in love with Marcellus and will wish you had an octopus as a friend! You’ll want to wrap your arms around Cameron and you’ll cheer him on as he begins to recognize and appreciate his own intelligence and character! You’ll also learn to understand Tova’s need to keep a shell of protection on herself but will cheer when that she’ll begins to soften! It’s a wonderful book and I so wish Marcellus could be rejuvenated in the sea and come back for a sequel!!
