As male viewer, I might be giving different perspective about with whom Park Hoon should end up with... First of all I can guarantee that LJS never failed to deliver... The way he played as Park Hoon was amazing... Playful, cocky, yet skillful and passionate doctor, Hoon is well portrayed by LJS... He knows how to make viewers feel the pain and sadness of Hoon while trying to reunite with Jae Hee.. I can feel the sadness when Hoon was awaken from the dream that he has reunited with Jae Hee (Ep 3) and the moment when he asked Jae Hee to look into his eyes and telling him that she does not truly love him (Ep 19)... I cannot imagine if the love of my life tells me that she never loves me truly... Now lets see why Jae Hee and not Soo Hyun: 1. Jae Hee is Hoon’s first and true love... They must have shared a lot of memories and won’t be easily overwritten by short period Hoon has with Soo Hyun... I believe Hoon does not say that he and Jae Hee have same heartbeats for the sake of flirting.. 2. The sacrifices given by Jae Hee are too much to be ignored by Hoon... Jae Hee has been protecting Hoon all along... She saved Hoon when he was chased by officers (Ep 1), She took not only once but twice the bullets for Hoon... Oh, please do not forget she hanged by the bridge twice as well :)... The ultimate sacrifice was when she pushed Hoon away and tried to let Hoon to be with Soo Hyun... now that is unconditional love at best... Hoon will be the most heartless man if he does not love Jae Hee back... 3. Now as for the chemistry between Hoon and Soo Hyun, after rewatching the series... I come to conclusion that Hoon has never fallen in love with Soo Hyun... He treats Soo Hyun like how normal guy treats his close female friend... Teasing, joking and being touchy is pretty normal treatment of guy to his close female friend... The only biggest mistake did by Hoon was not being honest to Jae Hee that he went to hospital to console Soo Hyun... But I don’t think Hoon did that because he loves Soo Hyun anyway... So it is very satisfying to see Hoon ends up with Jae Hee eventually... the only thing that I want to complain in this series other than too few details on what happened to Hoon and Jae Hee after they fell from the bridge was they never show more happy scenes of Hoon and Jae Hee after they reunited... I am curious on how life goes for both of them after the tough period was over... Overall this is a very nice K drama, The surgery scenes are great and very dramatic added with Hoon ability to do surgery with his feeling rather than using equipments... So Doctor Stranger is definitely recommended...
