I miss Pinhead's original design. However, I also like the new one and I think they did a great job, even though I agree the movie didn't really need a "reboot" (although, considering the cenobites are explorers in the further regions of experience... couldn't this Pinhead simply be a different character in which they used a similar torture technique during transformation?). While I feel some characters could have more depth to them (like the main human antagonist), the movie was fun enough to keep me entertained, and had some great moments. Jamie Clayton did a superb job interpreting the high priest, and her quotes are epic. The idea of having different configurations to the box with different meanings and the Lament Configuration being just one of them is really interesting as well. I'm not sure I have completely accepted the new Leviathan mechanisms, but I do find them intriguing. Like it or not, the movie has some great sights to show you...
