Caught me hook, line and sinker. Writing is witty. Characters are layered. The actors deliver. Cases are a tad predicable personally. But I have also devoured pretty much all the police procedural shows there is, so it is hard to surprise me anymore. The backstory is intriguing. I read a scathing review on how this adaptation is vastly different from the French original. But I haven't seen that one, so I will be judging this show as a standalone. Usually I would avoid ongoing shows out of fear for cliffhangers. But I felt this one was compelling enough to make me bend my own rules. Eagerly waiting for the next season to drop!
