A must watch for those who have a little bit understanding of Psychoanalysis; otherwise it might bore you to death. The basic psychological knowledge makes it a movie to be awed by a thousand of times but with no inkling of the field it might be something totally unbearable.

I'm leaving this comment here just so that nobody misses watching the movie after all these not-so-motivating reviews.
It's a brilliant work of all that it takes to make a movie. The acting, the cinematography, the dialogues, the ambiance, and everything is simply marvellous. Must go for it. I love movies that shows so much damaged without wars, atomic bombs or any order leading cause but just to show how evil and damaging we as a humans are. This is one such movie that shows that it doesn't take a gun to kill someone and do a life long damage to someone.

I had high expectations from this book particularly in regards to Barthes's take on Lacan by extending his psychoanalytic theory to the art of photograhpy; however it didn't serve the purpose. I felt, while reading this book, as if a child who must go through his dumb lengthy coursework just to get through an exam. Nothing in it is conspicuous or striking enough that invoke my interest, shocked me, impressed me or pricked me. Half way through it I shut it down to save my time.
