This show was meh. The plot was all over the place. So many competing themes and because of that none were fully explored in the way they deserved. Also, I'm probably expecting too much from an 8 episode series, but who was this crazy doctor? Why was he compelled to do what he was doing? Where did Runa come from? Who was John? Why was he just June's stepfather and not her real father? What purpose did that serve for the overall plot? Where was her and Ryan's real father? What was going on with Harry's mother and why did she just expect her teenage son to be his father's carer? So many unnecessary and distracting questions were added to this show because of the way the characters and plot were chosen. And yea, the acting just wasn't that great. June and Harry were grating at times. Sigrid was unnecessarily creepy. Elena has no maternal instinct or warmth whatsoever. If you want the TV on in the background while you're doing something else and not fully paying attention, this is a great option.
