Having been a film student 30+ years ago I found nothing new nor particularly clever about this ... certainly done better by Bunuel and his peers decades ago in my opinion. Perhaps I just didn't get it, or perhaps each generation of makers and critics needs to rediscover/reinvent expressionist film-making for themselves? Probably I just didn't get it. Nicely edited though.
