I found this book very insightful.
Although itโs a book of fiction, it reads as if itโs a book of someoneโs actual life and it could be real.
Iโm not a purest or a specifically knowledgeable person on this subject and I would normally read adult or teen fantasy/sci fi.
I had this book sat by my bed for a year before I read it in 2020, but I still remember it near 4 years later as if I read it yesterday.
I really liked the character read of the book. I felt I got to know the fictional characters and I wanted to root for the lady in the book.
To move to a different country with a totally different language (script and spoken) must be a significantly difficult challenge, but to do so when the belief system and culture is also different and this book adds the dimension of arranged marriages and it allowed me to wear the shoes of a lady from a faith I donโt belong to, for just a small step, which was enlightening in itself.
I canโt speak for purists but for me, easily engaging and very informative of being on a different side of the fence.
