(no spoilers) Wife and I were so excited to see this and we are big fans of 1 and 2 but this movie was terrible. It was essentially 2.5 hours of cheesy emotional manipulation like the director was desperate to make you feel sad. There were also a lot of scenes that were intentionally as traumatic as possible and might be triggering for people. Seriously, if animal abuse, abusive parents, mass shooter like sudden violence in a town and a work area (separate instances), near death, and kids in cages might bother you, don't watch it - there's a lot of all of that. Oh and torture, plenty of torture. This movie isn't the fun humorous adventure we were expecting. It was dark, it was boring, it was predictable, and it made the guardians of the Galaxy universe feel smaller by tying the sovereign, adam, rocket, earth, and the evolutionary dude all into one backstory. The characters weren't particularly themselves and there were a few instances of the cgi not lining up with the actors eyes which really bugged me because it's not like it's a low budget movie. Anyway total waste of time and money. We're done with marvel movies it was so bad.
