Basically a crappy, B-grade lesbian version of Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas- minus the fact that Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas is actually a good & funny movie.

Absolute flop of a movie, biggest waste of time and money seeing it at gold class cinemas. More of a C-grade film.

I found this movie really quite boring. The beginning was interesting when June is being assessed & appearing symptomatic & lacking cognition, but then the whole movie was just a bore & dragged out aimlessly. At the very end it slightly caught my attention where she begins to lose cognition & insight again. But that's it. From someone who works with dementia on a regular basis, this is definitely not a good reference to go by if someone is wanting to gain insight or learn about dementia & how it affects family dynamics. The VERY tiny parts at the start & finish are a drop in the ocean of what this disease is truly about. I've noticed alot of the positive reviews are from the 55 & over groups, so perhaps it isn't fitting for a younger person, even a health professional working with dementia regularly. I was easily distracted during this whole film & not kept entertained at all.

The generous, single star is basically is for Brendan Fraser, who always does a great performance. The movie? It's basically a depression session about a sad, morbidly obese teacher working from home, who is on the verge of an iminent cardiac arrest the whole time. Years back, he had left his wife for another man & broke up his family, damaging any change of a relationship with his bratty, spoilt, foul-mouthed daughter, who is brought to life by the actress who also played the annoying, outspoken ginger from Stranger Things. The whole movie is set in a dingey apartment & basically has little-to-no storyline except for what is happening in that moment. Highly depressing, terribly boring.
